I’ve been photographing since about 1978, mainly family parties, weddings, people, places and wildlife. I worked for a law enforcement agency for several years which allowed me the opportunity to work in a black & white dark room. I developed all kinds of photographic skills and learned my basics while employed there. I have learned many techniques on my own, but lately, working with other wedding and wildlife pros refining my God given skill. People have always remarked “you make beautiful photos”, but I tell them, “God makes the beautiful photos, I’m only His instrument.”
I enjoy the great outdoors photographing wildlife. I love sharing the photos through my website with family, friends and folks that are too busy to notice nature around them. Folks thank me for sharing the photos and allowing them to see what God has blessed us with. I offer for sale prints of the nature photos. And I teach Basic Photography for the Coastal Bend College’s Continuing Education Program.
Currently, I am working on a degree in Computer Information Technology at Coastal Bend College.
I have digitized 57 of the 69 A.C. Jones High School annuals and loaded them to our A.C. Jones High School page on Facebook. And, I have completed scanning ALL 69 of the yearbooks and given the digitized copies to A.C. Jones High School for uploading to their database.
In August of 2012 two of my photos were shown at the Beeville Art Museum. More of my photos will be shown in October of 2012 at the Coastal Bend College Art Gallery with a collection of other local wildlife photographers from the Beeville/Bee County area. God’s blessings continue in my life!
I have participated in the 2007, 2009 and 2010/2011 Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest. I’ve won First Place in the 2007 Contest in the Dove Division. In the 2009 Contest, I won First Place in the Quail Division, Second Place in the Caterpillar Division and 4 Honorable mentions. These have been published in the Wildlife in Focus IV & V Books for the Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest. Books are still for sale if anyone would like to purchase them.  The 2007 Winning Photos have a permanent home at the Corpus Christi International Airport Terminal. The 2010/2011  photos are still being shown through-out the Coastal Bend. In the results of the 2010/2011 Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest, I placed 4th in the Night Photography, in a field of over 4000 entries.
After years of submitting, three of my photos were selected and published in the August/September 2012 edition of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine.  A life long dream of mine has been met. God has blessed me tremendously. I have also been published numerous times in the local My South Texas newspaper and Live Oak County Progress. I’ve written 4 stories for the Bee County Visitors Guide 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011, with photos that were published. I’ve also had photos published in the Coastal Bend College calendars since 2006. I have assisted at the Three Rivers Birding Festival in 2009, 2010 & 2011.
I also teach Basic Photography workshops on the side. Contact me for details.
